Product information

The IMPULSE NUTRITION ELECTROLYTES, the performance reflex for a well-hydrated body, even under pressure.

Optimal hydration

During exercise, your body loses water and essential minerals. This complete electrolyte complex — sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium and zinc — compensates for these losses and promotes optimal hydration. It helps delay muscle fatigue and maintain performance over time.

Nerve and muscle support

Magnesium and potassium contribute to the proper functioning of the nervous system and support efficient muscle contraction. To help you maintain endurance, even during the most demanding workouts.

Cramp prevention

The combination of magnesium and potassium helps limit cramps by promoting proper muscle and nerve function. A real plus during long or high-intensity sessions.

Balance. Energy. Hydration.

With its refreshing lemon flavor and sweetener-free formula, each serving becomes a true moment of pleasure, without compromising on quality.

Our routine advice

Before

Before training, the MALTODEXTRIN provides you with the carbohydrates needed to fill up on energy and perform at your best during your session.

During

During the effort, the ELECTROLYTES allow you to stay hydrated and maintain a good mineral balance, essential to performance.

After

After training, the WHEY ISOLATE promotes the development and maintenance of muscle mass thanks to its protein content.

Daily life

On a daily basis, the MARINE COLLAGEN Peptan® labeled supports muscle recovery, strengthens the immune system and the joints.

Tip: Water that is too cold can slow down electrolyte absorption and cause digestive discomfort. Choose water at room temperature or slightly cool, especially during competition. Contrary to popular belief, sodium is essential for performance, particularly in endurance sports or in intense heat. It maintains blood volume, supports muscle contraction, and prevents energy slumps.

What are electrolytes?

Electrolytes are essential minerals (sodium, potassium, magnesium) that regulate hydration, muscle contraction and acid-base balance in the body.

In which foods can you find electrolytes?

Electrolytes are found in bananas, nuts, green vegetables, milk, coconut water, and sports drinks.

Why choose Impulse Nutrition Electrolytes over others?

Our electrolytes have an optimal electrolyte dosage and B vitamins, eliminated with perspiration, with a mild and pleasant taste that is not too salty. Note that they have been formulated without sweetener and with natural flavors.

When to consume electrolytes?

They can be consumed before, during and after exercise to prevent dehydration and optimize performance. That being said, use during exercise is most effective.

How to determine the right dosage during exercise?

The dosage depends on the intensity of the exercise and the external conditions (sweating is higher in high heat or humidity). In general, 500ml to 1L of water with electrolytes per hour of exercise is recommended.

Can electrolytes be consumed after exercise?

Yes, they help restore fluid balance and replenish minerals lost during exercise.

Is it relevant to consume electrolytes and a sports drink at the same time?

Yes, because sports drinks also provide carbohydrates for energy, while electrolytes compensate for mineral losses.

Can electrolytes be mixed with anything other than water?

Yes, they can be mixed with juice or a recovery drink, but water is still the best option for quick absorption.

Scientific studies

Origin and evolution of electrolytes in the sports environment

Electrolytes are ions – that is, electrically charged particles – dissolved in bodily fluids (blood, lymph, intracellular fluid). Their main mission: to maintain homeostasis, that is, the internal balance of the body.

Their popularity in the sport really took off in the 1960s with the development of isotonic drinks, created to compensate for mineral losses and fluid during exercise, particularly in endurance sports such as American football and then the marathon.

Since then, the concept has become widely popular. Athletes of all levels incorporate electrolytes into their hydration to preserve their performance and scientific understanding has also been refined: we understood that mineral losses through sweat were often underestimated, and that simple water intake was not enough to compensate for these losses. Today, electrolytes are everywhere: in drinks, gels, lozenges and even powders.
